Despite the drizzling rain and a few years since we last rode, Lee ensured we were comfortable with our bike skills before heading off on our scenic descent into Mclaren Vale. This was lucky day, both Ian and Deb were our guides today. They were wonderful to travel with, we first stopped in a beautiful camp ground with fun gravel trails. We saw a Koala bear resting in a tree there. Then we entered a National Park with some rolling trails…
This was lucky day, both Ian and Deb were our guides today. They were wonderful to travel with, we first stopped in a beautiful camp ground with fun gravel trails. We saw a Koala bear resting in a tree there. Then we entered a National Park with some rolling trails, however, no Kangaroos to be seen at the time. The long down hill roll to the first vineyard was a total scream!
Lunch was the perfect selection of meats, cheeses and veggies. Then off we went to another vineyard for a delicious tasting, we met Dave the wine dog who was a character! As if that was not enough, we stopped at a micro brewery for a quick beer and then on to a cafe, goodness knows, we all needed coffee at that point!
I highly recommend this bike adventure. We had a blast and saw many beautiful sights!
