The tour is 8 days long with 6 days of biking.

The tour is of a moderate difficulty level and rides are generally fairly flat, ranging in length between 15-30 miles/25-43 km on remote asphalt roads.  Unpaved country roads are cycled at times.  Main roads with heavy traffic and no separate cycle paths are only ever used in exceptional cases and for short distances.  Long and steep climbs are rare; however, hilly countryside with regular ascents and descents do occur.  Depending on the direction of the wind, there may be times when cycling into a strong headwind is necessary.

Helmets are mandatory on bike tours. It is advised to bring your own well-fitted helmet as rental helmets are limited.

Bike helmets can be provided free of charge if reserved prior to arrival (limited
amount).

Furthermore, the tour operator recommends riders carry arm and leg protectors during the bike tours.

The Tour Operator discourages guests from bringing their own bike due to costly and risky transport.

The bikes often get damaged during the transport and taxis are often unwilling to transport bicycle boxes. In addition, it is also difficult to store the boxes on the boat during the week.

Should you, however, wish to bring your own MTB with you, please make sure to check the condition of your brakes, gears, and tires and don’t forget to bring along a puncture repair kit and the essential spare parts for your bike (e.g. brake pads and tubes). Your bike should be in perfect mechanical working order.

The tour operator does not allow private e-bikes on board of the boats. This decision has been made due to health and safety regulations. If you wish to ride an e-bike for the duration of your tour, please select the rental option.
