Where does the tour start and end?
The tour starts and ends in Melbourne. You will be picked up in the city at approx 9am and transferred to the start point, in Yering, which is approximately 1 hour away. If you prefer, you can meet the group in Yering.
Fly in/out of Melbourne Airport, also known as Tullamarine Airport (MEL).
How long is the tour? How many days riding?
The tour is a day tour and you'll be cycling during it.
What's the tour like?
The scheduled cycling is 30-40kms depending on the pace of the group, and is classified as easy. There are no hills, the cycling is generally flat and is great fun. As transport is included, you can enjoy cycling one way on the rail trail without having to double back. The riding is suitable for children who can manage to cycle for 1 to 2 hours.
Are helmets required?
A helmet is required to be worn on all biking activities and is non-negotiable. If you do not wear a helmet you won't be allowed to cycle.
The tour operator does have helmets available to hire but if you have your own this is preferable so that you are comfortable with a well-fitted helmet.
Is the tour suitable for children?
Children from the age of 12 upward that can ride a bike for at least 25kms will enjoy this day out. There is some alcohol serving and supervision of this is up to the guardian. This tour is not suitable to children under 12.

I had a wonderful day tour on the Lilydale to Warburton rail trail. The bus driver and tour guide ( extremely funny and engaging) were amazingly friendly and supportive. The scenery was superb, rolling lush green pastures, into beautiful bush landscapes. Equally spoiling was our wonderful lunch Included in the tour... at ‘The Carriage Cafe ‘. Topping off this wonderful tour we visited the ‘ Five Oaks ‘Vineyard and ‘Elmswood’ and purchased some tantalising wines. I give this tour a definite thumbs up and am busting to book my next tour with [the tour operator].
