  1. Day 1Arrive Launceston

    Arrive into Launceston, transfers provided to your accommodation, meet and greet your guide with a welcome group dinner on your first night to get excited about your adventure ahead. Enjoy a group dinner in Launceston tonight.

  2. Day 2Cycling the North East Tasmania Rail Trail

    You will initially transfer out of Launceston to Lilydale, where you will jump on your bike and ride the fun, off-road North East rail trail to Scottsdale. The ideal way to get the legs going. Beautiful scenery and easy riding.

  3. Day 3Cycling to St Helens

    After breakfast you will initially transfer in the vehicle to avoid busy roads (and a big hill!), with optional starts at Branxholm (73kms total day) or Weldborough (43kms). There is some initial uphill but you will enjoy a long roll into St Helens and some superb scenery. You are now on the coast.

  4. Day 4Cycling to Bicherno

    Todays ride is pure ocean scenery. Whilst you will follow the main Tasman Highway the support vehicle is behind throughout. Again there is the option to ride the full length, or be transferred some of the way. You will enjoy a scenic picnic lunch from a vantage point. An optional wine tasting visit on arrival in Bicheno is always a treat, as is dinner at the best Fish & Chips in Australia, overlooking ‘The Gulch’ inlet.

  5. Day 5Cycling to Freycinet National Park

    Another stunning day of ocean views and relaxed, undulating cycling as you head into Freycinet National Park. It’s mainly downhill cruising with 2 uphills that are short (no more than 75 meters ascent) and achievable for most. You will enjoy a tasting and lunch whilst overlooking The Hazards Mountains from Devils Corner Winery before you arrive at the only accommodation inside the
    National Park, Freycinet Lodge, your luxurious home for the next 2 nights.  Tonight you'll have a special dinner at the Freycinet Lodge restaurant ‘The Bay'.

  6. Day 6Hiking in Freycinet National Park& Wineglass Bay

    You will discover world-famous Freycinet National Park with a 5.5-hour guided walk. Explore the dramatic pink granite peaks, its jewel-coloured waters, pure white sands & abundant wildlife. Water taxi return trip back to the Lodge (30 mins).

    The hiking is graded as easy and is fully guided with a gourmet picnic lunch.  Free evening tonight, with 3 dining options at the lodge, or the tour operator can assist with arrangements for dinner elsewhere.

  7. Day 7Cycling to Triabunna

    An initial transfer to the top of a long hill at Apslawn so you can roll your way down to Triabunna. The views on this stretch of the coast are superb. Triabunna is the main civic centre for the east coast and is fringed by beaches, coastal reserves, hills& forests. The town was established as a garrison for the penal settlement on Maria Island and is now the departure point for the Maria Island Ferry, and still has a number of preserved convict-era buildings.

  8. Day 8Cycling to Hobart

    Your final day on the bike. Today's route has options for longer or easier rides and takes you through historic Richmond and the Coal River Valley. You will jump on the bus for a final transfer into Hobart (taking about 1 hr).

    Your final day of cycling as you make your way to Hobart. You'll transfer to the start point and ride the back roads of outer Hobart, before arriving at Bream Creek, with stunning views and an end of ride lunch and wine tasting. If time permits a quick stop at quaint historic Richmond on the transfer into Hobart. Overnight with a final night dinner and “awards” celebration which is always a highlight.
