Wedged between the snow-capped peaks of the Southern Alps and the Tasman Sea is the 140km West Coast Wilderness Trail. Weaving through the dense rainforests, glacial rivers, lakes and wetlands, a series of smooth flowing off-road tracks takes you from Ross to Greymouth. Encounter unique, beautiful birdlife, wander the Treetop Walkway through the canopy and see Punakaiki’s incredible pancake rocks as you cycle this wonderful route. The trip begins and ends in Christchurch.
If you are travelling alone, the tour operator will arrange for you to share accommodation with another traveller of the same gender and if they cannot match you up they will provide a single room at no extra charge. If you prefer not to share, a single supplement is payable to guarantee your own room, however, these are limited to 2 per departure on a first-come, first-served basis.
