Ride The Trail and Bike The Wineries

This 3/4-day self-guided ride begins with a shuttle from Queenstown to Arrow Junction, where you'll be fitted with a bike and briefed on the local wineries. The ride starts with a scenic 6 km trail following the Arrow and Kawarau rivers, crossing iconic landmarks like the Edgar Swing Bridge and Kawarau Suspension Bridge, the birthplace of bungy jumping.

In the afternoon, you'll cycle the Gibbston River Trail, stopping at cellar doors of your choice. Enjoy lunch at a winery or bring a picnic. Covering up to 17 km, the trail is easy to navigate. The day ends with a shuttle pick-up at 4:30 pm from your chosen winery.

Check-in at the Tour Operator's shop: 10:20 am
Shuttle departs Queenstown: 10:30 am prompt
Transport from Queenstown to Arrow Junction (7 km from Arrowtown), safety briefing and trail tips: 30 – 40 mins
Ride 6 km (4 miles) along a trail to the first winery, crossing some spectacular bridges: 30 – 45 mins
Spend time exploring the wineries with pick up from your venue of choice: 4 – 5.5 hrs (depending on your pace)
Shuttle transport back to Queenstown, departing the wineries at 4:30 pm sharp: 30 – 45 mins
