Ride from Arrowtown back to Queenstown on a scenic 25 km trail, following rivers, crossing bridges, and winding along beautiful lakefront paths with spectacular alpine views along the way. Your adventure begins with a scenic shuttle to historic Arrowtown, before riding beneath Coronet Peak with panoramic alpine views and following the Wharehuanui Trail through rolling farmland, You can cross the historic Edith Cavell Bridge and continue alongside the Shotover River before finishing in the heart of Queenstown. Along the way, you can also enjoy optional stops at Gantleys Tavern and Canyon Brewing.
This self-guided adventure is ideal for confident riders with a moderate level of fitness. The route features three moderate climbs that are manageable for most cyclists, while E-bikes are available for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Trail Update
Frankton Track diversion in place until the end of 2026 (approx. 4km). It's suggested to take the Wharehuanui Trail on the ride back to avoid the Frankton footpath.
