The Northumberland self-guided bicycle tour was fabulous. The [operator] team organised the vacation very well: all we had to do was show up. Our group included 3 adults and two kids age 4 and 5. The 5 year old bicycled solo the whole way, only needing a push for rare uphills. The 4 year old was on a tag-a-long bicycle. We also pulled a little trailer, just in case one of the kids went on strike, but we only used it for carrying snacks. We all loved the trip. The mix of country farmland, castles, and ocean were terrific. Kids and adults enjoyed running on the beaches and visiting castles. The hotels were comfortable and clean with good dinners every night. The kids regularly ask to go back to England! We are looking forward to another [operator] adventure soon.

Too many favourite days for different reasons. I actually loved our first day of cycling for the variety of terrain and beautiful views, ending up in such a wonderful location. I would wholeheartedly recommend! It was exactly what I was hoping for. The Northumberland scenery is mind blowing, people are really lovely, and the food is incredible. The route is clear and the app makes it so easy to follow. I can’t wait to go on the next one.
Responsive and helpful...
We really enjoyed the ride out to Lindisfarne! Our [...] representative was responsive and helpful. He reassured our daughter and got her a helmet that fitted, kept us informed of the cases and was always there in good time. He was helpful and polite throughout the week.
Lots of good stops...
Quiet country lanes and coastal paths were just the ticket with two kids 12 & 9. Lots of good stops for ice cream and the beaches at each destination gave us something to do after a morning cycle. Definitely nothing too strenuous for any of us!

The Beach house hotel was wonderful (clean rooms, good shower, good breakfast, great service). Loved cycling out on the causeway to Lindisfarne. Loved the beaches between Beal and Berwick.
