Itinerary Details

Plan for the day

Departing the port village of Ahuriri you will cycle around the port to the Napier CBD, a world-renowned Art Deco treasure. Spend some time enjoying the unique facades of these beautiful buildings before continuing south following Marine Parade with spectacular views across the Pacific to Cape Kidnappers.

Cycle on through the East Clive wetlands which is home to numerous black swans and you'll arrive at the village of Clive, a great place for a refreshment stop. You will eventually arrive at Black Bridge near the mouth of the Tuki Tuki River.
Keep on cycling through two quaint coastal communities where you can indulge in wine tastings at Elephant Hill, Clearview and Te Awanga Estate.

Along the way, you will also see fascinating sites such as the Origin Earth Cheese Factory, Clive Wetlands Bird Sanctuary and the Māori star compass, Ātea a Rangi.

At the end of the day, you will be collected from Te Awanga and transferred back to Ahuriri or your accommodation.
