Champagne: the name conjures images of effervescent golden liquid, sparkling in an elegant flute, toasting a celebration, and also the rolling countryside in France where this fabulous drink is produced. This leisurely exploration of the Champagne region will reward you with beautiful, charming villages, chalk hillsides covered in pinot noir, pinot meunier and chardonnay vines; and of course the opportunity to meet the families who create the world’s most famous wine. Champagne also holds some surprises: medieval churches, the Gothic Notre Dame cathedral of Reims, and a lighthouse hundreds of kilometers from the sea, built as a publicity stunt in 1909.
There are three levels of accommodation available on this tour:
Affordable - simple accommodations in the heart of the Champagne region
Comfort - 3-star accommodations offering elegance with relaxation
Prestige - 4-star accommodations in revitalizing surroundings
By default, accommodations are set to Affordable when booking. Contact us if you wish to upgrade to Comfort or Prestige levels.
In case of unavailability of the first hotel, an alternative hotel of the same standard will be suggested. If the same hotel category is not available, a higher category hotel may be booked and additional fees may apply.
