On day two, ride through the spectacular Karangahake Gorge alongside the Ohinemuri River, passing waterfalls, gold-mining relics, and the impressive Victoria Battery. A highlight is cycling through the 1.1km railway tunnel before arriving in Waihi, where New Zealand's rich gold-mining history comes to life. Return to Thames by shuttle in the afternoon.
