  • How long is the tour?

The tour is a full day tour and starts around 9am and ends around 5pm.

  • What's the tour like?

A totally different tour-  and don’t worry, we will take the sting out of the climbs by starting at the highest point in the area and riding mostly downhill! The tour is suitable for beginners to mountain biking. The tour ride does vary due to various conditions, but expect some off-road riding, and maybe a little fun mountain biking trails on the first part of the day. The riding around the wineries is mainly on easy gravel roads, farm tracks, secret shortcuts and quiet backstreets. As you ride between wineries you will utilize quiet backroads and private farm tracks and stay off the busy roads. You will also have a few secret shortcuts that only mountain bikes can manage! The riding is fairly leisurely and is suitable for anyone who is happy riding a bike on firetracks and country roads for a few hours.

A bike is included in the cost of the tour. You can upgrade to a dual suspension bike or an E-bike when booking for an additional cost.

What an awesome day (and that was pre-wine tasting)!!! Despite the drizzling rain and a few years since we last rode, Lee ensured we were comfortable with our bike skills before heading off on our scenic descent into Mclaren Vale. We appreciated the friendly and educational experience at each of the wineries (Gemtree, Kangarilla & Samuel’s Gorge) and the amazing views. Do yourself a favour and book this tour! We will be back! Thanks Lee!!!

Great day!

I went with a group of 5 of us and we had such an enjoyable day. Ian is a lovely genuine guy that accommodated for our every need. He was very knowledgeable about the local area. At every winery we felt like we had so much time, it was very relaxing. All in all it was a great day, I would highly recommend this tour. Thanks Ian!

This was lucky day, both Ian and Deb were our guides today. They were wonderful to travel with, we first stopped in a beautiful camp ground with fun gravel trails. We saw a Koala bear resting in a tree there. Then we entered a National Park with some rolling trails, however, no Kangaroos to be seen at the time. The long down hill roll to the first vineyard was a total scream!
Lunch was the perfect selection of meats, cheeses and veggies. Then off we went to another vineyard for a delicious tasting, we met Dave the wine dog who was a character! As if that was not enough, we stopped at a micro brewery for a quick beer and then on to a cafe, goodness knows, we all needed coffee at that point!
I highly recommend this bike adventure. We had a blast and saw many beautiful sights!
