Ride from Jaén to Córdoba in Spain's Andalusia region over 6 days on the Aceite Greenway. This cycle-friendly trail is the longest in Andalusia, and this self-guided bike tour is ideal to discover the Vía Verde del Aceite by bike, one of the most important routes in the country.
With 13 impressive metallic viaducts as its symbol, the greenway crosses the provinces of Jaén and Córdoba accompanied by exceptional views of olive groves.
Since the construction of the first section, the “oil train” was completed in 1881, the trail was used not only to transport oil, but also coal, lead and other metals. Now it has been adapted for the practice of cycle tourism on a smooth and off-road route.
Some highlights include Cerro de Santa Catalina and Zuheros with their large, impressive castles, Torredonjimeno's historical centre catalogd as a Site of Cultural Interest and Salobral Lagoon amongst others.
