Dawson City, once known as the “Paris of the North,” is your start and end point for a unique combination of a river trip and bike tour. You will take to your canoe on the historic Yukon River for a four day paddle from Dawson to the town of Eagle, Alaska. The current moves you along at a good clip, though there is no whitewater. Experience the beautiful solitude along the hundred-mile river journey as you camp on the shoreline and visit relics of the area’s gold rush past.

Combine canoeing and biking at the Top of the World! After crossing back into the United States, you'll pull off the river in Eagle, AK in for a comfortable night in a local B&B. You will reconnect with the van, trailer, and bikes for the scenic ride back to Dawson City on the Taylor and Top of the World Highways. Stunning views of the Yukon Plateau await in a territory the size of California, with a total population of approximately 30,000 people!

The biking portion is fully supported with a mix of gravel and paved roads. You'll kayak 160km (100 miles) over 3 days on the river, followed by a 231km cycle (144 miles) over 4 days on a mix of paved and gravel roads

Upon returning to comfortable lodging in historic Dawson City, you will have a celebratory dinner. Optionally, extend your trip and arrive a few days early for the Dawson City Music Festival. Since 1979, the historic city has held a music festival that draws artists from all over Canada for three days of fun and entertainment. See the Add Ons section for further information.
