Ride The Trail and Bike The Wineries

The Bike The Wineries Half Day tour kicks off with a midday pick-up from the Tour Operator's Queenstown shop, followed by a shuttle ride to Arrow Junction, located 7 km from Arrowtown. After a bike fitting and safety briefing, enjoy a scenic 6 km (4-mile) ride along the stunning Arrow River Gorge Trail. Along the way, cross the iconic Edgar Swing Bridge and the famous Kawarau Bungy Bridge as you make your way into the heart of the Gibbston Wine Valley.

With the help of a handy winery map, explore as many of the fantastic venues as you like — from renowned wineries to a charming tavern and delicious food stops — all linked by a gentle, scenic bike trail.

When you're ready, you'll be picked up from any location in the Gibbston Valley for your return shuttle to Queenstown. Depending on how many stops you make, you’ll ride between 6–17 km (4–11 miles).

Ride Schedule

11:50 am: Check-in at the Tour Operator's shop
12:00 midday: Prompt shuttle departure
12:30 pm: Arrival at Arrow Junction for bike fitting
30 mins: Begin your ride with a scenic 6 km journey to the first winery, crossing stunning bridges en route
3 hours: Explore the venues of Gibbston Valley while tasting world-class food and wine as you go
4:30 pm: The return shuttle picks you up from your chosen winery in Gibbston and arrives back in Queenstown around 5:10 PM.

Winery Bookings

To ensure you have an awesome experience at the wineries, it is best to book your tastings in advance, particularly for groups of 6 or more. The Tour Operator can help with timings once you have booked.
