Experience the spectacular Carretera Austral Norte on an unforgettable cycling adventure through the wild landscapes of Chilean Patagonia. Starting near Puerto Montt, you’ll cross estuaries and fjords, combining cycling and navigation as you make your way through the Lakes Region and Aysén.
Pedal through a breathtaking mix of national parks, mountains, lakes, rivers, glaciers, fjords and ancient native forests. Along the way, you’ll discover more than 10 fascinating destinations, including Hornopirén, Chaitén, Villa Santa Lucía, La Junta, Puyuhuapi, Mañihuales, Puerto Aysén and Coyhaique.
Your journey takes you along a mix of paved and gravel roads, with challenging climbs such as the Moraga and Queulat slopes. Along the way, you’ll encounter incredible natural wonders, including Pumalín Douglas Tompkins National Park, ancient alerce trees, Yelcho Glacier, the Palena River, Lake Risopatrón and the spectacular hanging glacier of Queulat National Park.
