  • What's the tour like?

Explore the wineries at your leisure, tasting wine and eating cheese, visiting your choice of the attractions in the valley; 7 wineries, a cheesery, a tavern and a micro-brewery.

The riding distance to the first winery is 15km. To get all the way to the end of the wine valley you’ll end up covering about 25km so the distance is variable depending on where you decide to end.

  • What places can be visited in Gibbston Valley?

    Gibbston Valley Winery
    https://www.gibbstonvalley.com
The most well-known winery in the valley. Enjoy their cheesery or visit the cellar door for a tasting. Beautiful outdoor area to be enjoyed.

    Kinross
    https://kinross.nz/
A stunning setting with a lovely outdoor area to enjoy. Great food and wine are available here.

    The Church
    https://thechurchcellardoor.co.nz/
Built in Wangaloa in 1894, this old church was relocated to Gibbston in the early 2000’s. Today instead of hymns and sermons it serves up local wines and good vibes.

    Rockburn
    https://www.rockburn.co.nz/
The Rockburn Cellar Door offers relaxed tastings of their award winning wines in a unique setting, at the iconic Gibbston Tavern. A pure expression of Central Otago in your glass.

    GT Tasting Room
    https://www.gibbstontavern.co.nz/gt-tasting-room
The newest addition to the valley, and little sister of the Gibbston Tavern, the GT Tasting Room offers a selection of local wines, gins, distilled spirits, and ginger beers.

    Brennan Wines

A great place to visit, Brennan is located at the end of the valley. While you’re here, have a go at petanque.

    Mt Rosa
    https://mtrosa.co.nz/
Full of personality, Mt Rosa is located at the end of the valley and is certainly worth the effort to visit. Tastings here are extensive, so allow approximately 40min.

    Gibbston Tavern
    https://www.gibbstontavern.co.nz/
Our standard pick up location for a reason. The tavern is full of character and serves delicious wood fire pizza. A great place to relax.

My friend and I did the full day wineries tour and it was fantastic, the driver was great and informative and you get the feeling they'll go out of their way to make your experience as enjoyable as possible, the views and track were superb. The bikes were nice and in great condition, the length of ride gave you plenty of time to have a look around Arrowtown, stop for lots of pictures and exploring and of course pop in to plenty of wineries! Can't recommend enough and i'll be back next time i'm in Queenstown

[The tour operator] was wonderful! Hopped on the bus and got a quick and entertaining spiel and then sent out on the bikes. We did the wine tour and the route was beautiful. When we got back, [they] had the wine we purchased at the front desk waiting for us! The workers are all super nice and helpful as well

Really good service. The staff were friendly. The map of vineyards useful, and it included discounts. Picking up the wine purchased made the cycling easier.
